The 8th Biennial International Group Theory Conference (the 8th BIGTC) will be hosted by the Department of Mathematics, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Indonesia. The conference will take place in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, from 26-29 July 2025. The first BIGTC was held in February 2011 in Malaysia, and since then, the conference has been held every two years. The main objectives of this conference are to gather prominent researchers in the field of group theory and be the platform of information on the latest research in this area. The conference also aims to foster interest and motivation in pure mathematics in general and group theory in particular and exchange research ideas among group theorists and postgraduate students. In addition, specialists in the subject of group theory can present their latest research works and encourage interested students to progress and widen their knowledge in group theory.
